Frequently asked questions.

What types of photography do you do?

I have experience in a variety of photography including food, drink, product, events, lifestyle and headshots. Whether you need mouth-watering shots of your restaurant’s dishes, powerful images of your products for your website, event photography or a set of headshots for your team, I’ve got you covered.

What's your location?

Based in Stockbridge, Edinburgh I’ve worked with businesses across the city, including Leith, Princes St, Haymarket, Old Town and more. Although I’m based in Edinburgh, I’m happy to travel wherever a shoot takes us.

What info should I include in a photography brief?

Don’t worry if you don’t have your brief fully fleshed out yet – I can help you through this process. Great briefs include as much detail as possible. Work backwards from your overall objective, mentioning details like the shot list, locations, any talent, turnaround times, and budgets. You should also try to include a mood board so I can get a really good idea of the final style and quality you’re aiming for.

What are your prices?

My pricing structure typically operates on a day-rate basis. However, no two shoots have the same objectives and deliverables, so I will provide a bespoke quote for each enquiry. Some shoots only need a photographer and a camera and others need prep, styling, assistants, and advanced retouching.

Do you do wedding photography?

The short answer is no. You’d be surprised how many wedding enquiries I get, despite not having a wedding photography portfolio!

What camera equipment do you use?

I work with high-end Canon cameras (Canon R5) and lenses suitable for all uses from social media to large-format print, depending on your needs. I also use this for video when needed, shooting in up to 8k. Depending on what I’m shooting, I have a range of lenses that are right for each job, whether it’s wide-angled for interiors or macro for food and drink photography.  For most jobs, I’ll bring my portable studio lighting which allows me to have the perfect control over each scene.

Reviews 🥳

What a wonderful thing to see on a Monday morning, these are just lovely, thank you! I hope you like the feature as much as we do. It was definitely a case of too many lovely shots and not enough pages to put them on! Many thanks again and look forward to working with you again in the future.

I have been working with Connor for a few years now, most recently in producing content around my training to swim the English Channel. Connor really knows what he is doing and makes the process really natural and easy for everyone. The results have been amazing and I would recommend Connor to anyone looking for high-quality services.

Connor provided photography for my work, The Glenmorangie Company. The communication was easy and efficient. He was professional and also put our teams at ease which was excellent as he was providing headshots. We were delighted with the quality and variety of the images we received.

The whisky investment company, VCL Vintners, approached me to produce the hero images for their Jubilee limited edition whisky release. This beautiful £595 bottle isn’t your everyday purchase, so the photography needed to reflect the quality and craftsmanship of the liquid. The images helped VCL sell out in record time.
